New Head Chemist @ Ceimig
Ames Goldsmith Ceimig are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Head Chemist - Dr Zac Dehaney-Steven.
Zac will lead our rapidly expanding team of chemists at our Dundee manufacturing site. His focus will be on scale-up of production, improvements in efficiency and research & development.
Dr Dehaney-Steven joins the team at a time of great expansion for Ceimig following the addition of two PhD's to the team in 2021 - Dr Christopher Lancefield - R&D Chemist & Dr Douglas Stewart - Principal Electrochemist.
Dr Zac Dehaney-Steven graduated from Bangor University in 2006 and started his career in the scale-up of pharmaceuticals and development of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. He began a PhD in 2013 at the University of St Andrews under Professor John Irvine, graduating in 2017, with a thesis titled ‘Development and Testing of Mixed-Phase Oxygen Transport Membranes’. He then spent five years in a startup as a Lead Scientist, responsible for the day-to-day operations of a team developing proton-conducting solid oxide fuel cells and electrolysers. He joined Ceimig in February 2022.
